Dominican vacation!

First and foremost, iguana are not the squirrels of the tropics. The tropics are wonderful! It's humid and sunny and warm and many of the things you hear about the tropics. The thing it is not , is teeming with glorious chicken of the trees, the iguana. I did not see one! Which was a little disapointing.

The rest if the trip was as to be expected, which was great! Of course there is the negative leftovers of sand everywhere and the crisp pink of a sunburn, but I feel as though these little reminders were well worth the trip.

We really didn't do a whole lot. We relaxed on the beach. Read. Ate. Drank. Basically did the exact things one should do on a quick weekend getaway. The portion of Olafs song " a drink in my hand, my snow up agaisnt the burning sand, probably getting gorgeously tan, in summer!" Was sung a number of times. I built a sandcastle, guarded closely by two dragons. One was fat and sad with no friends. We made friends with some locals. I think seeing a ginger threw them a bit, especially after my skin became the hue closer to that of a lobster than a human.

It was three days of the sun and surf. I couldn't ask for more.
